ZF acquires the facilities attached to the Tiro Janer industrial estate to complete the development of the new business-industrial park

Last week, the demolition work on the facilities began, which is being carried out by the company Erri Berri.

The San Fernando City Council previously authorized the demolition license presented by Zona Franca at the end of last May

The Free Zone of Cádiz has taken a fundamental step in the redevelopment process of the old Tiro Janer industrial estate in San Fernando, with the acquisition of two properties located on the Battery de la Ardila highway, annexed to the plot acquired by the Free Zone from the Ministry of Defense, and which, due to their strategic location, complete the ownership of the land that will house the city's new business-industrial park.
The two homes, with an area of approximately 350 square meters each and located on a property of 1,389.92 square meters, are in a dilapidated state, so they will be demolished within the demolition process already launched by the Consortium and which has been carried out since last week by the company Erri Berri, after the San Fernando City Council has authorized the corresponding demolition license, which was presented at the end of last May by the Consortium, by emergency means in order to speed up the deadlines.
The demolition is being carried out with the greatest care to conserve forest species that were previously diagnosed by a specific report commissioned from a forestry engineer.
It should also be remembered that the Consortium has needed approval for the Preventive Archaeological Activity Project that it presented to the Territorial Delegation of the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Andalusia, a mandatory requirement to be able to begin the demolition, since part of the plot is within a BIC environment (Asset of Cultural Interest).
Since Zona Franca purchased the old Janer Shooting Range from the Ministry of Defense on March 6, it has worked intensely to expedite the procedures for the development of the future park, a very necessary project for the promotion and development of the economic activity of the city of San Fernando and the province of Cádiz.
The project, in figures
The new business-industrial park is installed on land whose surface area is about 65,000 square meters, but with an occupation of it that will not reach 50%, so it is an urban planning action that does not overcrowd. The project contemplates planned uses of some 15,000 square meters of commercial land, more than 3,000 square meters of industrial land - a specific request from the Government team of the San Fernando City Council -, an important area for hotel and office equipment and a large reserve of land to house one or two electrical substations, of vital importance for San Fernando.
Likewise, more than 7,000 square meters for a green area, free space for 3,000 square meters or a parking lot with 635 spaces. As it could not be otherwise, a reserve of the protected area of 3,000 square meters is made and a bicycle lane is incorporated that will run along the entire front.
