It will cover land that does not comply in a timely manner with the priority objectives of the Institution.
In the coming months, the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz will undertake a profound operation to sell real estate assets with the aim of cleaning up its economy, while focusing its activity on its own reason for being and serving the general interests of the province.
Unproductive actions that are difficult to return, as well as those that have not been started for years due to planning, costs, or market reasons, will be a priority when configuring the corresponding public offers for the disposal of assets that will be presented for approval in the coming months.
It is the intention of Zona Franca de Cádiz, in its policy of cleaning up its accounts, to fundamentally focus its activity on achieving the return on investments as a way of guaranteeing its economic-financial balance, giving up having fixed assets that do not generate resources to use in the revitalization of economic activities and entrepreneurs.
In this way, Zona Franca continues, we will significantly alleviate the financial burden and this will allow us to accentuate the activity in the fiscal and customs aspects, which constitute the first reason for being of this Institution, and in the clear commitment to expand the current territorial scope of its premises, in the city of Cádiz itself and in other cities in the province.
Likewise, the Consortium, within its current policy of dissolution of companies of the Zona Franca Group, also carries out in parallel the reorganization and dissolution of others, such as the case of Servicios Documentales de Andalucía, Depósito Franco de Algeciras or Aparcamientos Zona Franca.
For Zona Franca, it is about making effective, efficient and profitable these companies that have historically been in losses and that, through new management methods, and above all a competitive commercial policy, are managing to reduce these losses significantly to the point that in 2014 they should be in profit.
In any case, for this Free Zone transformation project, its results and the fulfillment of its own purposes, the so-called “Strategic and Financial Plan 2013-2017 Cádiz Free Zone” will be presented in the near future for consideration by the bodies of this Institution.
