The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has awarded the company Acciona Infraestructuras the construction work of the 28 nest warehouses in the Villa de Rota Industrial Estate, after a total of 45 construction companies submitted to the competition, the deadline for which ended at the end of February.
The award amount for this work, which has a subsidy from the Reindus Plan, has been 1,434,928.32 euros (VAT not included) and will have an execution period of eight months.
The Free Zone put the contract for the work out to tender on January 26, after the day before the State delegate in the Free Zone, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Rota, Eva Corrales, completed the entire previous procedure with the signing of the collaboration agreement, on the one hand, and with the signing of the deed, on the other.
The work consists of the construction of 28 nest ships with an approximate area of 250 m² each and built on a plot of 7,407.83 m². These warehouses will respond to small and medium-sized businessmen and merchants in the city, in need of facilities in which to launch, expand or diversify their activities, a fact that will also be increased by the consequent economic impact that the expansion of use of the Rota Base, on the occasion of its inclusion in the NATO anti-missile shield.
