The Cádiz Free Trade Zone has formalized the award of health and safety coordination in the works execution phase of the administrative building that it is going to build in Algeciras. The company SGS Tecno S.A has been awarded the contract for an amount of 2,975.21€ (VAT not included).
On the other hand, the Free Trade Zone Consortium, the construction company, Vías y Construcciones, and the Algeciras City Council will hold the act of rethinking the work of the aforementioned building next Tuesday the 23rd at 11:00 a.m., an essential requirement for the beginning of the works and the date from which the execution period, which lasts one year, begins to be computed. Finally, the contract for the action, which has a loan from the Ministry of Industry for Reindustrialization Aid, amounts to 4,796,574.98 euros, VAT not included. The Consortium put out to tender the works on November 20, with a balance of 27 offers presented.
It should be remembered that with the aim of speeding up the deadlines for the start of the works, the Cádiz Free Zone has planned the laying of the first stone for next April 18, with the presence of the president and the delegate of the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium, Teófila Martínez and Jorge Ramos; the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce; and the General Director of Industry and the SME, Manuel Valle Muñoz.
The initiative that Zona Franca undertakes in Algeciras includes the construction of a modern Business Center of 8,445.59 square meters, which will include a parking lot with capacity for 80 vehicles and more than 5,000 square meters of offices for entrepreneurs. The project is built on a municipally owned plot of 4,000 square meters located on Avenida Juan Pérez Arriete, next to the Algeciras Chamber of Commerce.
