Next Friday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m., the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium will proceed in the Plenary Hall of its Headquarters to the opening of economic offers of the companies submitted to the competition for the contracting of works to execute the project of the new administrative building that Zona Franca is going to build in Algeciras. This is the last phase prior to the awarding of the work, after the deadline for submitting offers ended on December 26, 2012 and the opening of technical proposals took place on January 4. Once the Technical Commission established for the purpose of preparing the appropriate report submits it to the Contracting Committee, which will carry out its evaluation in accordance with the award criteria, the economic offers will be publicly opened. The Executive Committee of the Consortium will be the body that awards the work, following the proposal of the Contracting Board, which will have been made taking into account the score obtained in the different areas.
As you may remember, this work was put out to tender on November 20 with a budget of 7,816,992.41€ VAT not included and an execution period of one year and a total of 27 offers were presented.
The initiative, which has a Reindustrialization aid loan of 8 million euros - 100% of the request made by the Consortium for its execution -, includes the construction of a modern Business Center of 8,445.59 square meters, which will include a parking lot with capacity for 80 vehicles and more than 5,000 square meters of offices for entrepreneurs. The project is built on a municipally owned plot of 4,000 square meters located on Juan Pérez Arriete Avenue next to the Algeciras Chamber of Commerce.
