The Cádiz Free Zone Consortium has formalized the payment of the license for the new administrative building that the Cádiz Institution, in collaboration with the Algeciras City Council, is going to build in that municipality on a plot near the Chamber of Commerce. Jorge Ramos, delegate of the Free Trade Zone, handed over to the mayor of Algeciras, Jose Ignacio Landaluce, the check for the amount of 370,000 euros that will allow the Cádiz Institution to begin construction works once the open competition process is concluded in the month of November.
The Free Trade Zone put out to tender the works contract for the Basic Project and Execution Project two weeks ago with the publication in the Contractor's Profile of the Consortium's website, which occurred on the 16th, and in the Official State Gazette on the 20th. The deadline for the presentation of offers will remain open until 2:00 p.m. on December 26 and the bidding budget for this work is 7,816,992.41€ VAT not included and the execution period is one year.
The work, which is put out to tender with a mixed contract with the purchase and sale of property owned by the Consortium or, where appropriate, provision of guarantee through bank guarantee, is co-financed with European funds and also has a Reindustrialization aid loan of 8 million euros, 100% of the request made by the Consortium for its execution.
The project, which is built on a municipally owned plot of 4,000 square meters located on Juan Pérez Arriete Avenue next to the Algeciras Chamber of Commerce, includes the construction of a modern Business Center of 8,445.59 square meters, which will include a parking lot with capacity for 80 vehicles and more than 5,000 square meters of offices for entrepreneurs.
