The Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium held an ordinary Executive Committee on the morning of Monday, September 24, chaired by the Special Delegate of the State, Jorge Ramos Aznar, in which a series of projects were ratified that will contribute to the revitalization of the area of influence of the Cádiz Institution: Cádiz and its province.
On the agenda of the session, the ratification of the bilateral agreement with the Jerez de la Fra City Council stood out, signed last Thursday, the 20th of this month in an event that was attended by the undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Pilar Platero, and which will enable the Consortium to begin paying the debt it has with said city with the rehabilitation of the San Agustín convent as a Business Center and the redevelopment of the complementary area to the property, in the center of the urban area.
In this same line of strengthening the important network of Business Centers that Zona Franca develops in the province, the agreement with the Provincial Council was ratified, signed on September 12 and by which the Collection Service of the Provincial Institution moves its offices to the new “Europe building” of the Interior Enclosure, imminently inaugurated. The delegate of the Free Trade Zone also announced that they are already working on a Framework Agreement with the Provincial Council so that, in addition to Cádiz, the offices of the Collection Services throughout the province are installed in the Business centers that the Free Trade Zone has or will have in El Puerto de Santa María, Algeciras and Chiclana.
Another municipality where Zona Franca is going to reactivate its presence after the meeting held yesterday is Arcos de la Frontera, with whose City Council there was already an agreement that had not materialized and which was renewed yesterday in order to revitalize the construction project of a business building in the “El Peral” industrial estate.
Likewise, during the Executive Committee Jorge Ramos wanted to report on the Framework Agreement signed with the Vejer City Council on August 23 and which lays the foundations for the construction in the municipality of a building for administrative and commercial use and contemplates the possibility of improving accessibility to the urban area with the construction of spaces for parking.
Modification of prices for sale of parking spaces
Finally, the members of the Executive Committee unanimously authorized maintaining the sales prices of the Carranza, Glorieta and Loreto car parks and extending them until December 31 without applying the increase in the VAT tax rate from 18% to 21%. With this measure, the Consortium maintains its commitment to offering competitive products and responds to the good reception of the city in recent months to the Free Zone parking offer.
