The delegate of the Consortium of the Free Trade Zone of Cádiz, Jorge Ramos, and the president of the Provincial Council of Cádiz, José Loaiza, visited this morning the facilities where the Collection Service of the Provincial Institution is going to be installed, in the new company building that the Consortium is constructing in the Interior Campus, called the Europa Building. Specifically, the Collection Service will occupy a total of 1,265 m2 between the ground floor (465 m2), first floor (560 m2) and second floor (240 m2).
Prior to the visit to these future facilities, Ramos and Loaiza held a meeting at the Consortium's Headquarters, where they were accompanied by the management team of the Free Trade Zone and by the provincial deputy for Finance and Collection, Juan Antonio Liaño, and during which the president of the Provincial Council signed the Consortium's Book of Honor.
During the visit, the delegate of the Free Zone thanked the president of the Provincial Council and the deputy of the Treasury for their full collaboration to carry out this type of joint actions such as the transfer of the Collection Service to the Free Zone and expressed his confidence that this line of collaboration will be reflected in future actions in the rest of the province, for which he has made himself, together with his management team, at the disposal of the president.
Ramos has also highlighted that, in addition to the total 6,449 m2 that the building has for offices –and which will also house a Business Center -, the property "is a modern multidisciplinary reference that also has 17 warehouses called relocation because they will be the ones that will house the companies of the outer industrial estate while the transformation planned in the General Urban Planning Plan by the Joint Office for the Attraction of Investments created between the Free Trade Zone and the City Council (OPEX) is carried out."
For his part, the president of the Provincial Council has praised the characteristics of the equipment, “a modern building with all the comforts for occupational health, one of the main objectives that we set in the negotiations,” he explained. Loaiza pointed out that “among the objectives set in the legislature was to optimize and rationalize the organizational structure and also save costs, and by centralizing the Collection Service in these facilities, 30,000 euros are saved.”
Bussiness center
The work, awarded in June 2011 to Corsán-Corviam Construction for an amount of 10,075,262 euros (VAT not included), has been co-financed with FEDER Funds within the framework of the 2007-2013 actions.
This new business center that Zona Franca is going to open in the Europa building is part of a series of future business centers that the Consortium plans to open in Algeciras, Jerez, Chiclana and Arcos, all co-financed with FEDER Funds and which have the objective of meeting the needs of the business fabric of these municipalities, providing it with modern facilities and multiple services at very competitive prices.
