The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium, Jorge Ramos, and the mayor of Tarifa, Juan Andrés Gil, have signed this morning a Framework Agreement for collaboration between the State Entity and the City Council for the promotion of the Tahivilla industrial estate, with a total area currently available in lucrative plots of 20,424 square meters.
>
The signing of the agreement, which took place at the Tarifa City Council, has as its main objective the adoption of measures to promote the settlement of new companies in the industrial estate, for which both institutions are committed, within their respective capacities and competencies, to adopt all those measures whose purpose is to promote economic activity and employment through the development of the aforementioned industrial estate.
>
During the signing ceremony of the agreement, Jorge Ramos highlighted that the Free Trade Zone Consortium is lowering prices by almost 20% compared to previous ones and expanding the forms of marketing by expanding discounts on sales prices to entrepreneurs who are committed to job creation. These advantageous conditions mean that those companies that use the land for employment-generating activities will receive a price bonus of up to 7,000€ per hired worker with a limit of 15% of the total amount of the investment. Likewise, the delegate indicated that new marketing lines will be opened under a lease and surface right regime with an option to purchase and insisted on highlighting the figure of the Free Trade Zone as a body with great management capacity at the service of the business community, collaborating in this case to advise the business community in the area to process aid from different organizations.
>
Along these lines, Ramos concluded by indicating that the best reflection of Zona Franca's commitment to Tarifa is that the implementation of these measures will mean direct support for the creation of 70 jobs in the municipality.
>
For his part, the mayor of Tarifa City Council, Juan Andrés Gil, highlighted that the main contribution of the Consistory in this joint project is the declaration of the industrial estate of public utility, with the consequent application of tax advantages to the companies that set up shop. Along these lines, the mayor promised to collaborate quickly in the processing and approval of the urban planning instruments that are necessary to make it possible to establish companies in the municipality, as well as to disseminate these measures in an information campaign that has a regional scope. .
