Zona Franca plans to award the works of the new building

The State delegate in the Cádiz Free Trade Zone Consortium, Jorge Ramos Aznar, presented this morning to the mayor of Algeciras, José Ignacio Landaluce, the project of the new business building that the Fiscal Institution is going to build together with the Chamber of Commerce . The event, in which the Councilor for Urban Planning, Diego González, was also present, represents the last step to be able to put out to tender the works of the property, which will be built on a municipally owned plot of 4,000 square meters, located in Juan Pérez Arriete Avenue.
>
Once the Free Trade Zone has obtained the municipal license, the works will be put out to tender, which necessarily involves the publication of the competition in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). The delegate explained during the event that the expected deadlines are that the works will be awarded in October and the first stone can be laid in the month of November. The execution period is one year.
Likewise, Jorge Ramos has highlighted that this project is very important for Algeciras from the perspective that it represents an economic effort that amounts to an investment for the city of 10 million euros (with co-financing from the FEDER Funds).
>
The delegate has supported the fact that the building is going to be a Business center “with 8,445.59 square meters, including a parking lot with capacity for 80 vehicles and more than 5,000 square meters of offices for entrepreneurs because it has been shown that this type initiatives are in demand and work well in Algeciras, where Zona Franca already has a business center in La Menacha with an occupancy rate of over 90%.”
